Time does fly like an arrow. Time Counter tells you how much time has passed since such and such, or how much time there is until such and such, with units and events edited at your will. “Such and such” can be your birthday and birth time, to find how many seconds you have lived so far, or an important must-do schedule, or any event you may be looking forward to. This app will give your time a new meaning.

- There will be two event examples in the list, to start with.
- Tap the event item to change units, to months, hours, minutes, and so on.

- Swipe the event item to the right for full-screen view.
- Tap the number in the center of full-screen view to change units. The list view will change accordingly.
- You can lock the full-screen view by tapping the upper-left button. It disables the auto-lock feature of the device.
- Swipe the full-screen view to the left to return to list view.

- Swipe the event item to the left to display event settings. Here, you can set the title, date, time, color, and reminder.
- Reminder will alert you by flashing the item at a specified time. A notification message will appear if you are not using the application (You must enable notifications in the "Settings" app). Cancel reminder by tapping the switch to OFF in the event settings view.
- From the event settings view, swipe right to return to list view.

- Long press the list view to change to list editing mode.
- In the list editing mode, you can add, delete, and change order of events. To create a new event, swipe "ADD" item to the left.
- In the list editing mode, you can sort items by title, date, time, units displayed in thumbnail, and color.
- Long press to cancel list editing mode.

- In the list editing mode, tap the left button in the tool bar to display app settings panel. Here, you can set iCloud Sync, color of event title, thumbnail animation, and display of user guide.
- When iCloud Sync is ON, the local data is merged into iCloud data. When iCloud Sync is OFF, the local data is replaced by the iCloud data.

Pros and cons of Time Counter app for iPhone and iPad

Time Counter app good for

please add, that i can say, remember me in 6h and 25 min. if i dont know the finsh time but know how long something will last.
a servicable app for anyone looking to count the days from or to an event. for funzies, you can enter your date of birth to watch the days/weeks/hours/minutes/seconds tick by since you left the womb. (be warned, this may also be depressing). overall, nice interface and easy to use. a buck well spent.
Just started using this and I like it so far. However it would be great if it kept a history of each time you reset the timer. For instance, its been x long since I last smoked, but I reset timer after relapsing. Id know like to try and beat that time but the app currently doesnt save that information (that Im aware of). If the app kept a history of how often you reset the timer and maybe even showed the average of how long between resets this would be an easy 5 stars I think.
Im using this to count down to my pending retirement, as well as other milestones. It needs updating since iOS 9 as it shows --- instead of the days, hours , minutes and seconds. But people love to ask "whats the number today?" Have fun with it.
This IS a GREAT app. It has a slick design, amazing colours, and it IS simple to use. Thank you for the update! Now it is working like a charm. I highly recommend it.
Stoked to see youve updated this to work with ios 9! My favourite countdown app is back. Great job! Love this app!

Some bad moments

Cant accurately calculate time. I set 8hr reminders and it gave me 5.5hr reminders. It doesnt allow fine tuning like calculations to the quarter hour, half hour or even multiples of 6mins. I was hoping to use it for work purposes but it let me down. Without an overhaul its not worth it even for free.
Seconds, minutes, hours, etc randomly show up as ... instead of the actually number. Started with iOS 9. Fixing this bug would change my rating to 5 stars.
Only the days show, all hours minutes, seconds, years show as "...".
This was a great App. Since I updated to iOS 9 it does not count down to days hours minutes- all blank. Only will count down one way at a time. Please fix this once great app.
The new version of this app still needs some work. The only events on the full screen are the examples. Ive tried to delete the example but they still show in the full screen. New events also dont get shown on the full screen. The older version was much better. Perfect example of "If it aint broke dont fix it!"
If you delete both initial timers (21st, 22nd century) before adding a new the app freezes with a dark screen (iPhone 4) and you have to delete and reload the app to get it to work again.
